Plenary Sessions and Plenary Speakers |
Plenary Sessions are meetings for all conference participants. All plenary sessions will be conducted by Guillermo (Gil) Peñalosa, who will be the Master of Ceremonies throughout the Conference. On each occasion, two people will make 15-20 minute core presentations, after which they will participate in a dialogue moderated by Guillermo (Gil) Peñalosa.
Plenary sessions will have simultaneous interpreting in English and Spanish.

PLENARY 2 - LEARNING ABOUT NON-MOTORISED CITIES: LIFELONG LEARNING.
Francesco Tonucci. Education researcher. He coined the "Children’s city" concept and is leader of the project of the same name.
Lynn Sloman. Consultant for the "Transport for quality of life" company. Author of the book entitled "CAR SICK: solutions for our car-addicted culture".

PLENARY 3 - PUBLIC INVESTMENT FOR A BETTER LIFE: THE EFFICIENCY OF CYCLING INVESTMENTS
Pilar Vega. Consultant and sustainable, non-motorised mobility expert. She has worked on a number of projects in Spain.
Eva Willumsen. Consultant for the COWI company. Her key areas of expertise lie within cost-benefit analysis, economic modelling, transport and environmental economics, benchmarking and valuation of externalities.

PLENARY 4 - ECONOMY AND EMPLOYMENT: THE BICYCLE AS A LIVELIHOOD
Patrick Kayemba. Expert in non-motorised mobility projects in African countries. He belongs to the FABIO NGO.
Joaquín Nieto. The president of honour of Sustainlabour, International Labour Foundation for Sustainable Development.
